Doyle " Texas Dolly " Brunson (born on August 10 , 1933 in Longworth, Texas ) is an American poker player who has been playing professional poker for over 40 years. Doyle is a former world poker champion and has authored several books since.
Being the first player ever to win over $1 million dollars in a poker tournament , Doyle Brunson has won ten World Series of Poker bracelets throughout his highly regarded career. Currently he is tied with Johnny Chan for the record of most WSOP bracelets. Doyle is also one of four poker players in the exlusive club of back to back main events at the World Series of Poker, having won the title in 1976 and again in the following year of 1977 .
